Fire TrainingOur training aim is to provide a greater awareness of the threat posed by fire to people, property, and business continuity. By combining the recognition of individual responsibilities to promptly report fire related hazards, and how to initiate the appropriate actions should a fire occur, the risks to employees and the workplace would be significantly reduced.
Fire Awareness CourseAimed at all employees (particularly new staff) to assist them in identifying and reducing the risk that fire presents in the workplace.
The subjects covered are:
- Principles of combustion, fire spread and fire prevention
- Hazard and deficiency reporting
- Actions on discovering
- Raising the alarm
On completion participants will receive a certificate valid for one year.
This training is accomplished through the Smartlog™ system and is typically fifteen minutes duration.
Venues: This training can be completed and tested on any on-line computer anywhere!
Fire Wardens CourseDesigned to enable your staff to meet the requirements of the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997 (as amended).
The subjects covered include:
- Principles of combustion, fire spread and fire prevention
- Hazard and deficiency reporting
- Fire Drills and evacuation
- Actions on discovering fire
- Raising the alarm
- Basic principles of risk assessment
- Means of escape principles
- Review of current legislation
- The role of the fire warden
- Workplace fire safety
- Human behaviour in a fire situation
- Firefighting equipment (and practical use)
Training notes and refreshments are included
On completion participants will receive a certificate valid for three years.
Venues: Fire Warden Courses are held at our offices in St Albans or training can be arranged at client's own premises. Subject to conditions.
